The Board of Trustees for the Town of Collbran has scheduled a public hearing for Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Collbran Town Hall, 1010 High Street, for the second reading of an ordinance adopting by reference various model codes. These model codes, collectively referred to as the Building Codes, are intended to regulate the construction, alteration, and maintenance of structures within the Town.
The Building Codes proposed for adoption include:
- International Building Code
- International Residential Code
- International Mechanical Code
- International Plumbing Code
- International Fuel Gas Code
- International Existing Building Code
- International Energy Conservation Code
- National Electrical Code (by the National Fire Protection Association)
- Colorado Model Electric Ready and Solar Ready Code (published by the Colorado Energy Office)
Copies of the codes, including proposed deletions and amendments, are available for review at the office of the Town Clerk at 1010 High Street during regular business hours. A digital copy of the adopting ordinance is also available on the Town’s website.
Following the hearing, the Board will consider final adoption of the ordinance.
